We provide a range of services in relation to restoring Classic cars, and Minis in particular, both in Europe and in Morocco.
We restore Classic Minis from Europe to showroom condition of better, for regular use on European roads of for import as collecor vehicle in Morocco.
What We Do
Our garage delivers top of the range quality car restorations and resto-mods for oldtimer classic Mini’s from the period 1959-2000.
A Mini that leaves our workshop is in a better shape than when it left the factory all those years ago. The body is rustfree, and painted to perfection, mechanically the car is overhauled and has modernised suspension and braking, transmission and engine.
Cosmetically not only the paint is new, also the upholstery and the driver and passenger comfort is improved.
Body repair and Paint Services
The body of Classic Minis from the 1959-2000 period, suffer from rust. Even when the previous owners kept up with rust repairs, there will be rust on the Mini. rustfree miniś are like unicorns .We need to replace the corroded parts of the steel body with new uncorroded steel. We use preformed body parts or weld in patches, we also remove old patchwork repairs (patches on patches) with original steel body pannels to restore the structural integrity of the Mini. If there are no corrosion blisters and we can save the original paint we will do so, but in most cases we will have to remove the old . solvent based paint and respray the Mini with modern undercoat and colourcoat lacquer and if needed clearcoat. We can also provide wrapping of the on a base of colour laquer. transparent wrapping provide your restored Mini with a protective coat against de influence of UV light and against the influence of salt on the road. We provide mod-service with special paint, specially designed decals, painted striping and artistic airbrush work, We can install Webasto sliding roofs, we currently do not have the means to change a saloon cr into a convertible or cabriolet, so if you want a Classic Mini Cabriolet, we will find such a model and restore it for you.
Brakes Suspension and Steering
When we restore a Classic Mini the suspension might be old and sagged, the brakes might be old school drum brakes and the steering might be worn out and imprecise.
We can repair those with new quality rubber cones (contemporary quality is better than the originals) or update to springs, improved shocks, and update to the HiLo trumpet replacements. We can also mod the suspension with modern coil-overs.
We also update your brake system, we can update your old drum-brakes with modern updates shoes, and your hydrolic piping with the safer diagonal designs used on later models, for increased safety. When allowed we can update your front drum-brakes to disc-brakes as provided by the original manufacturer.
We will update your steering rack and the bearings of your steering system such that your Mini will drive with the precision it was engineered with.
Engine, Gearbox and Differential
We will revise or rebuild your engine, and replace worn bearings, old gaskets and oil seals, update valve seats to unleaded fuel, replace or update valves, and make sure your old camshaft is replaced to give your engine the best performance, balance or update your crankshaft. We can do further performance mods.
Worn gears are replaced and we can refurbish your gearbox and differential. We will need convincing before we modify your car with straight cut gears or a 5th gear, because the original drive of the Mini is an important feature we'ld like to preserve.
Export and import services.
Our operation routinely exports and re-imports European Classic cars from and to Europe, because our workshop is located in Tangiers,
For our European customers we usually look for cars in your home market and bring it back to it's country of origin. if you want to buy a car that has a different registration we will assist you in any way we can but you are ultimately responsible for going through the motions (custom clearance, paying duties and technical approval) we will assist you and provide the required paperwork.
For our Moroccan customers who want to buy and \import a collectors vehicle in Morocco, we will help you with the purchase of a project Mini car and necessary parts, we'll assist with the export formalities from Europe and we'll provide all necessary paperwork to assist you with customs clearance in Morocco, we will then restore your car for you. contact us for details of such a project.
Modding Services
During restorations we may update your car for an better driving experience in modern traffic, all those updates are road legal in the country where the car is registered. We can modify your car with more extensive modifications such as turning your vehicle into an EV, or turning your A/A+ engine into a 16 valve powerhouse, or replacing it with a K-series engine. Before we start such a project we will make sure that you have the necessary permits for those modifications and that you can re-import the car and drive it in a road legal fashion. We are not in the business of creating competition cars that can only be driven on circuits. We ware in the business of giving Classic Minis a new lease of life on the road giving Mini drivers the Mini Driving Experience.
Tires & Wheels
When we deliver a project the car will be on updated tires and on road legal wheels either 10", 12" and upon request 13"rims but we prefer to stick to the first 2.sizes. We can provide you with the original steel wheels or with modern alloys, and we provide the body wideners that make the use of those wheels road-legal..
Transport
Although we regularly transport cars over long distance we don´t provide a transport/towing service to thrid parties.
Warranty & After Sales Service
We have some partners in Europe we can refer you to for maintenance and assistance.. As far as warranty goes, the quality of our work is our guarantee. If a matter of warranty does occur. we will refer you to one of our partners to do any repairs that we will cover ( parts and/or work), that partner is also our expert to judge/determine whether our warranty is correctly called upon. Our warranty will cover in some cases parts only and in some cases parts and work.
Buying / Selling Cars
If you want us to buy your Mini, please make sure you understand following basics, because we don´t buy just any Mini.
- we expect your Mini to be either in driving condition ( it can be driven given good petrol and a working battery) or in rolling state (on wheels/tires and it can be pushed and .steered, having a working handbrake is a plus)
- your driving Mini should be complete with all parts and paperwork, if you have lifetime paperwork (such as maintenance booklet, invoices and old MOT reports) that is a definite plus.
- If your rolling Mini is in project state (partly dismantled with parts stored in boxes) we will deduct from our offer the purchase of any missing parts.
- if your car has been in an accident or has accident damage, we will check if the body is still straight (that the car is not crabbing when driven on the road) or that body damage can be repaired easily or with a minimum of expenses.
- we ill not accept to buy from you cars that are not registered to your name, that have been stored as projects with their paperwork in limbo (export papers from one country and no import and registration paperwork in the other, have their paperwork lost, or missing manufacturer's tags.
